Empowering young minds with financial wisdom since 2019
In 2018, our founder Rebecca watched her teenage nephew struggle with his first part-time job earnings. He'd earned over a thousand pounds during the summer holidays—and spent every penny within three weeks, with nothing to show for it.
That moment sparked a realisation: schools teach algebra, history, and literature, but rarely cover the financial skills young people desperately need. Rebecca, a former secondary school teacher and qualified financial advisor, decided to bridge that gap.
What started as weekend workshops in a community centre has grown into Leeds's most trusted youth financial education provider. We've now helped over two thousand children and teenagers build healthier relationships with money.
The principles that guide everything we teach
Money habits form earlier than most parents realise. By starting financial education young, we prevent poor habits from ever taking root. Prevention beats correction every time.
Children absorb more from watching parents than from any lesson. Our programmes include family components so financial conversations continue at home naturally.
Reading about budgets won't change behaviour. Our hands-on simulations, games, and real-world challenges ensure concepts become second nature through repetition.
Our educators bring a unique combination of backgrounds: qualified teachers who understand child development, financial professionals who know money inside out, and former youth workers who know how to connect with reluctant learners.
Every team member undergoes enhanced DBS checks and completes safeguarding training. More importantly, they genuinely enjoy working with young people and share our belief that financial education transforms lives.
Measuring success beyond the classroom
What sets our programmes apart from typical financial literacy efforts
Children who dread lessons don't learn. Our game-based approach means kids actively want to attend sessions. The learning happens almost invisibly through play.
Eight learners maximum per session. Every child gets individual attention, can ask questions without embarrassment, and receives feedback tailored to their progress.
We provide take-home materials and parent briefings so learning reinforces at home. Financial education works best when the whole family participates.
We partner with primary and secondary schools across Leeds to deliver in-school workshops. These sessions complement existing PSHE curricula while providing the specialist financial education that teachers often lack time or training to deliver.
Our school programmes can be customised to fit assembly slots, dedicated lessons, or after-school clubs. We handle everything—materials, assessment, and parent communication.
Currently working with fifteen schools across West Yorkshire, with capacity to take on new partnerships from September.
